The Wait Is Over - Poem by Ellie Watts

May tonight be the night that
I finally die.
I grab my razor
and cut really deep.
lie on the bed.
let the darkness enclose.
May this be the time
that my emotions reveal.
Let my blood run out.
Let my tears remain frozen.
May this be the time
that my dreams come true.
I've waited for this day
for oh so long.
I've waited and waited
for this day to come.
For which I will die
in the memory of
none.
