My Love Wishes She Wasn't Poem by Colin Coplin

My Love Wishes She Wasn't

Rating: 4.5

My love wishes she wasn't, things I love she doesn't
Never listens to what I tell her, always knows somebody better
My love wishes she wasn't

Love's to tell me that I'm only, dreaming,
and that she warned me
My love wishes she wasn't

She is cruel and effervescent, hurts me with her casual comments
My love wishes she wasn't

She's from Venus, I'm from Mars, such a short distance, but it keeps us apart
Celestial bodies, right from the start, she's from Venus, I'm from Mars

My love wishes she wasn't, things I love she doesn't
Never listens to what I tell her, always knows somebody better
My love wishes she wasn't
It's a problem I'm left to ponder, books I've read, don't have the answer
My love wishes she wasn't

She's from Venus, I'm from Mars, such a short distance, but it keeps us apart
Celestial bodies, right from the start, she's from Venus, I'm from Mars

It's a problem I'm left to ponder, books I've read don't have the answer
My love wishes she wasn't
My love wishes she wasn't
My love wishes she wasn't
