My Place Called Home Poem by Colin Coplin

My Place Called Home

Rating: 4.5

In a cul-de-sac in Kensington, that's where I found my home
Not much to look at, but it's got walls, that's where I found my home

It may not have the perfect view, but it's got all I need it to
Needs some work, but I don't care, I got time to spare

And you can call in anytime
For a chat and some wine
You can call in anytime
Anytime is fine

He went looking but he never found, the perfect place to settle down
Never quite right or asking to much, lacking something of a personal touch
Weekend newspapers, and on the web, but they weren't what they said

In a cul-de-sac in Kensington, that's where I found my home
Not much to look at but it's got walls, that's where I found my home

It may not have the perfect view, But it's got all I need it to
Needs some work but I don't care, I got time to spare

And you can call in anytime
For a chat and some wine
You can call in anytime
Anytime is fine

And I went looking but I never found, that special place to settle down
But I think I'm lucky, I got what I need, my place that I call home

And you can call in anytime
For a chat and some wine
You can call in anytime
Anytime is fine
