My Loving Daughter Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

My Loving Daughter

Rating: 5.0

I watch her reading in the next room
Head down and resting on knees
It is mid night
She eats less
May fall asleep
Much preparation has to be done
Tomorrow is the first exam day
I want to knock the door
Come back; she may feel disturbed
Wake up late
She is ready to go to school
Her eyes are blood red
She smiles at me
Don't worry, her smile says
My heart melts in pity
I wish she get through the exam
And come to hang on to my shoulders
And kissing me say love you papa

Her eyes are blood red / She smiles at me Don't worry, her smile says / My heart melts in pity.... //.... Such is the burden of study these days. Studying girls and boys have little time for leisure. A father's love and concern for his loving daughter becomes apparent in the poem. God bless her with long life and success in all her endeavors. Thanks.

With that level of dedication and concentration i am confident she will make it. Wish her luck from us students at PH trying to unravel the intricacies of poetry.
