My Moon Poem by Chiyuki Koyama

My Moon

Rating: 5.0

In my dreams I see you walk upon a sandy shore somewhere.
You keep your head down to the ground, the wind tosseling your hair.

I call your name into the air, yet the air is thick as concrete.
I try to yell and catch up with you, but my voice is now discrete.

I can not run, nor can I call.
Now I can do nothing but fall.

You watch me fall on the cold, hard ground.
You watch me from your sandy beach, the moon is nowhere to be found.

My eyes are closing, my heartbeat slowing, I know I'm sure to die.
The last thing I see is no one but you, my moon in the empty sky.
