My New Day - Poem by Rhonda Baker

This morning when I awoke, the house was quiet and still
The sun was just rising, the air had a chill
The birds had started singing, there song high and sweet
My soul was truly quiet as I listened to them tweet
The wind was blowing softly, and the willow tree would sway
The sky was painted mountain blue, as I started my new day
