My Nightmare Poem by Randy McClave

My Nightmare

I just want to wake up from this nightmare
Where there is no loyalty or even care,
I am so tired of this sadness and ache
I just want to awake.
No more storms and no more grey skies
No more cheating and no more lies,
Outside the window there is no rain
Which has washed away, all the worries and the pain.
I just want to go to bed
Not remembering what someone had did or said,
Blue skies and the sun I want to retrieve
I just want to be happy when I breathe.
I stand and now I wish upon a star
Then I realized just how right you are,
As though it now seems like a scheme
I just want to wake up from this tormenting dream.
