Daily in my dream you bloom in wee hours
Like a perennial shrub in a secret corner
Laden with clusters of white yellow flowers
That shine in the darkness like the twinkling stars
Emitting intense romantic sweet smell
Ah! So intoxicating! So mesmerising! So heavenly!
Though the dream disappears in the morn
That fragrance fills the air
That overpowers the flavour of my morning tea,
The aroma of spices in my kitchen,
The sweet smell of my perfume
And room freshener of my chamber,
That strong sweet smell maddens me then, now and ever
The lush green bush, so lovely and rare
Luxuriant, vigorous and fast grooming
Where hope and happiness hop and chirp happily like colourful birds
And clean from my mind insects and pests of negativity
Add to my life wonder and beauty
My nucturnal white Jasmine,
You're a perennial fountain of my heavenly delight.
