My Only Delight Poem by Namita Rani Panda

My Only Delight

My heart's heart yearns to know
If you're still in bed like the mountain under a blanket of snow
Or risen up like the morning sun with a bright glow,
So I anxiously give you a ring
But from the other end I listen a stunning blow,
"Please don't disturb me now! "

My heart's heart seems to burst
If you skip your meal or breakfast
Like a camel, the ship of desert,
So I give you a call first before I take my breakfast
And from the other end I listen an outburst,
"I can manage myself the best."

My heart's heart sinks in gloom
When in time you don't return home
Like a vagabond spend time in merry making
I anxiously give you a ring
And from the other end I hear a stern voice,
"Why don't you mind your own business? "

I know for you now I am a disturbing element
How can I make you feel that my only delight is your comfort
and contentment?
