My Pride And Honour Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

My Pride And Honour

Rating: 5.0

My pride

I was simple and straight
But I had to wait
For my intention
As I was unable to mention correctly

People took me by default
Even though I was not at all at fault
But I cared less
And eventually faced the wrath on face

But I contended
And never offended
Any person who had even erred
But sincerely apologized

This kind of handling matter
In a cool manner
Made people take me earnestly
And never contest bitterly

I had no self-interest
So served them best
Tool no grudge or insult to stride
It never hurt my pride
