My Queen Poem by michael Smajda

My Queen

I met a lovely queen
Who lived in a castle,
One day.
I ask her to join me
In the forest,
Together, we would play.
I promised her joy,
Promised not to be crude.
Yet, she chose to remain
Walled in her castle,
In silence, solitude.
