My Salvation Poem by Jessica Gabanyic

My Salvation

The ocean tides come and go,
With a constant push and pull of the water,
Stable, rhythmic, soft sounds float to my ears,
As a single thought wafts through my mind,

When my world came crashing around me,
Your arms held me stable,
Helping me through the toughest of tidal waves,
That slammed against me,
How you carried me when my legs gave out,
And push me to do great things,

You are home,
Familiar and inviting,
Constant and strong,
Giving me peace
Even when the storm rage's within,
You are unwavering and warm,
Comfortable even in the darkest of times,

You are safety and peace,
Wrapped in a being
Worth a thousand words more
You are freedom
