My Saviors Poem by Elizabeth Sheaffer

My Saviors

(For that special group of kids who have saved me from despair.)

I’ve met some great people;
My very best friends.
But the laughter and fun
Will soon come to end.
I’ll never forget you,
As long as I live.
Each one is special,
With so much to give.
Hearts full of love;
Faces wreathed in smiles.
Laughter and memories
That go on for miles.
You’ve changed me so much
Throughout the past year.
Just know, if you need me,
I’ll always be here.
To lend a hand
To a friend in need.
It’s friends like you
Who plant the seed
That grows so tall,
Reaching out of the dark,
And within my heart
Creates a spark.
You all are much better
Than all of the rest.
You’ve changed my life;
I love my Teacher Cadets.
