My self feels light, my soul now reclaimed,
No longer a doll in a lifeless game.
No longer a puppet with strings tightly tied,
Compulsions once held, now fully disclaimed.
I lie awake, free, aware, and whole,
No longer enthralled by the raven's dull caw.
I listen instead to the call of my soul,
A melody divine, pure without flaw.
This sacred song, let it carry me high,
Slicing the strings that bound me so tight,
Unwrapping the chains of my nafs that tie,
Breaking the bonds in the soft morning light.
From the dormant core where I lay ensnared,
To the heights of awareness, enlightened,
I rise from the pandemonium, chaos and tumult,
Into the arms of serenity, into the light.
The divine melody whispers, setting me free,
From the world's loud clamor, its wild, restless sea.
In this newfound peace, I find my release,
Emancipated at last, I embrace inner peace.
