My Smiling Cheetah! Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

My Smiling Cheetah!

Please my Cheetah, don't keep me a captive
in thy heart where silly thoughts fear to tread.
The fleeting fortune may deny to smile
but you should not my minion upon me.

Come and shake hands, my new found star!
You're the nymph to numb my inner pains.
You're a god-sent angel to this abode
to fire my heart with light to flight!

Take not heels from me seeking gold;
I'llmake thee eternalby my verses.
Bail me out from the engulfing sorrow
And sail with me in joy through the sea of mirth.

When you look and smile, spring up within lines sweet
and keep me live with songs from my lips to tweet.
