I watch them walk away,
My mind is telling me to stay!
My heart aches for me to follow,
Aches with such longing and sorrow,

I watch them laugh and talk,
As the night comes upon us, dark,
They scare me, intimidate me,
They hate me, use me,

I watch them have fun and live,
I wish I could join in, then forgive,
I can never play along,
Its the end of my song,

The music fades, the lyrics disappear,
The meaning; we can no longer hear,
The song is almost over,
My life is almost over,
Everything is almost over,
Goodbye, My Lover.
