My Soul Is Ready For The Night
Today's thoughts I gently guarded
At the gate controlled what entered
Supped on all nature's provided
Kept things of beauty at the center.
Out here nothing dark surrounds me
In morning light the world unfolds
The waterfall near spell bounds me
As life's fragrance fills my soul.
As the sun sets, twilight nearing
The forest settles peaceful, quiet
Now above the stars appearing
My soul is ready for the night.
