How often in our lives are we able,
To give thanks when it is due,
To our Friends and Neighbours,
And more especially, Lord Mayor, to you.
My thanks for the opportunity
To present my poems to you,
And to the Headmistress
Of my first Nottingham School.
To obey the Fifth Commandment,
Given by The Almighty to us,
To Honour the Lives of our Parents,
For all of us is a must.
By giving of your valuable time,
And that of the Lady Mayoress too,
To allow me to give you my Poems,
In Remembrance of my Parents’ Lives too.
For they were married in Nottingham,
My Mother a Nottingham Lass,
My Father, the Hebrew Minister,
Now their Memory will forever last.

What an honor that must've been! Very nice way to memorialize your parents. Sincerely, Mary
