My True Essence Poem by Mohammad Younus

My True Essence

My true essence—
I am not perfect
in the way the world measures
flawlessness.
Yet, fundamentally,
I am not imperfect;
I emerge from the Divine Fitrah,
woven with all that the sacred
has imparted into my being.

My essence is like magic—
otherworldly yet familiar,
a gentle echo of the Primordial Covenant,
a memory I have never known.

The aura surrounding my True Self
shimmers with divine light,
an ethereal beauty
that breathes brilliance with each sigh,
radiating warmth with every glance.
It is life—
the divine manifested,
raw, pure, undiluted—
a dream that even Picasso's hand
would struggle to encapsulate.

Flawless, infallible,
its perfections draw me closer,
like the embrace of day and night,
where light dances with shadow.
Its voice is music
on tranquil mornings;
its silence—a peace
I never knew existed—it is me.

My spirit is fierce,
untamed, radiant.
Within me lies a home
I didn't know I was seeking,
a sanctuary forged from light and shadow,
where the wild and the serene unite.
