My True Mate (Sonnet) Poem by Dipankar Sadhukhan

My True Mate (Sonnet)

Rating: 4.0

O my darling, my joy, my happiness!
I shall ne'er forget my love for you, dear.
You have given me true love and much care.
With your affinity I feel so fresh.

Once upon a time when I was lonely
And almost drowning in the black deep sea,
By chance like a charming water fairy
You appeared to rescue me so promptly.

Since then you have been made my true lover
And my heart feels so happy with your love.
I am so sorry as in a love's grove,
Keeping you awaiting I went too far.

I swear as long as my heart can pulsate,
I'll care for you with my love, my true mate.
