My Way Poem by Samantha Stough

My Way

Total annihilation
Has never felt so good
Tomorrow the world may end,
If only it would

Then I could perhaps fall into the arms
Of a better disposition
Someday, I will face destiny,
And make amends with submission

Each man’s dream becomes a whisper,
That none take the time to apprehend
The land of what could have beens
No longer having a soul to defend

To be under the sun,
And only take it for granted
We stand here so idly,
How can our perception be so slanted?

I may not make any sense,
I may go straight to hell
But at least my only friend
Isn’t a wishing well

So through the air I rise,
Breaking through the atmosphere
I will walk the galaxy,
To find what I hold dear

So let me continue my journey,
It grows more swift each day
Call it what you want,
But at least I can call it my way
