Nadya Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Nadya

The beats and the drum of a floating song,
And from the land of the rising sun to meet you;
But greeted by the applause and the love of Nadya!
For she was lonely in her garden of love asleep when,
The heavy rains dropped in.

Strangers and beggars,
The shelter of love is next to you;
But i wonder if i could easily dent you with my love,
For the heavens do know you as Nadya.

Of the joy that i have for you and,
Of the household name of your love around;
But like the cirling stream of the ocean,
I will always remember you my love.
