Naked Trees Poem by Chiori Mathew

Naked Trees

Rating: 5.0

How in pale I wonder,
These beloved trees,
Once dressed in green glamour and glitz
flapping majestically its apparel
a seasonal blessing of nature
why not ask the birds its prominence
an abode of leisure and fresh air.

when will thou recuperate from this disgrace?
this nudity of time,
oh, a brutal rape of shame
the birds longed for you again
I'll tell them when you return.

Very nice poem with a slightly different perspective. It is sad when the trees lose all their leaves, and become so barren and ugly. But autumn is a pretty time, and it’s wonderful to see the trees getting their new leaves again in spring.

Well conceived and elegantly brought forth with clarity of thought and mind. A beautiful poem.
