'NAKUPENDU WEWE! '
she smiled sweetly

but as she said it
in Swahili

I had no idea
that she loved me.

'HA EH BAK! '
I said back

but she didn't understand
Tunisian.

But then she kissed me
in Swahili

and I kissed her
in Tunisian

and suddenly
to a man

(and a woman)

we understood each other
...completely.
