Narcissism Poem by Jan Oskar Hansen

Narcissism

Narcissism

Naked in the bath, he looked in the mirror
he loved himself so much and got an erection.
The image came out and smacked his face.
Chastened, the self-lover hung a curtain
over the mirror and didn't lift the curtain
once until he was old.
Shocked by the sight of the ruin of his body
he shot himself dead.
His image, preserved was his young self
came out, picked up the car keys and left.
A week later, he was arrested for murder
since the killer and his victim were one and
the same, he was tried for suicide.
