Nature My Muse Poem by AFFAQ NABI

Nature My Muse

Nature, my muse, has taught me to tend
Echoing greens, without which, life is hard,
To tell the bird the garden's joys, and be friend
Then mend his song of mournful heart, as a bard.
I mark the flower which holds her perfume back,
For joy in the world springs from a subtle scent;
Nature bids me sit on the stream's cool track,
To whisper the music that the waters lent
As you're named by God as their custodian
And makes you, a comforter for the hand
That toils in fields from morn to eve, in tempest rain.
Lest the thirst and hunger stalk the land.
This tremendous pain in echoing green,
Eases my mental strain, while in between.
