So April goes out on a wintery note
Of frost and sleet and hail
The suns quite bright but little warmth
Will hotter weather prevail

The month has been a mixed up one
And natures all awry
One minute it is dry and bright
Then next a leaden sky

But nature doesn't seem to mind
As there's colour in every place
From blossoms, bluebells and the rest
Flowers and life in every space

So will the weather become more settled
As April rolls into May
And will the chill winds we have had
All just fade away
