As natures calendar rolls on by
To warm things up it's had a try
One day warm, the next day cold
Wonder what next month will hold
Woods alive with birdie song
As the days grow ever long
There's bluebells in the shady wood
The blossomed trees are looking good
Between the rainbows and the showers
Look around at all the flowers
Now butterflies and bees appear
Summer sure is getting near
As April takes the reins from March
There's catkins on the popular and larch
The crocus bulbs are nearly done
While late daffs enjoy the warming sun
So good-bye to March, what did it bring
Through gales and winds, the birds still sing
We've had it wet and windy and the cold and rain
But let us hope that April, will bring the sun again
