Nature's Sign Poem by soren Barrett

Nature's Sign

At a beach house in Brazil
In my back yard on a hill
A granit monolith 18 feet tall
At its base two giant stone balls
Created by nature it stands erect
But my neighbors don't object
It gives a message to all around
Who's the boss of this ground
My neighbors never say
Get your rocks off, anyway

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I've been told that in times of old A ruler erected in his pallace, a monument of his phallus A measure of his strength was its length His foot is not the root, To why he is called ruler, it's the length of his tool sir With this, measurement was equated, that's how the ruler was created Whether this story is right or wrong, at my age I just inch along
