How can I miss someone
I’ve never met
It doesn’t make sense in my head
In my heart, it does yet
Your thoughts and your words
I miss you so much
My fingers on keys
I can no longer touch
The smile on my face
When I saw you logged in
Sent my mind racing
To thoughts of your grin
My laugh filled the room
As I read your emails
My heart filled with hope
As we swapped our sad tales
You kept your distance
Though we were quite close
And I think that is what
Hurts me the most
“like your humour”
Was your first contact
If I’d known then I’d feel like this
I wouldn’t have written back
Now I miss someone
I’ve never met
Damn you for fooling
Damn you internet

A good reminder that although the technology IS brilliant, there are dangers out there too. Well done.
