Neighbours First Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Neighbours First

Neighbours First

Do not care who has said!
-When I heard this phrase
-we lived there, in Dubai:
- "Neighbour First, then place."

Our neighbours were from
-all over; but main ones
-of Jordan and Iraq …

We shared life as if were
-a single family, together.

I learned this to have been
-from known "Fatima"
-daughter of the Islam's Prophet.

While could have been
-maybe it was not…simply…
-a "White-Theft", "Borrowing".

I bow to wise content
-and let it rule action
-academic or of faith.

Wisdom is for mankind
-regardless of start
-must accept.

The recent NAFTA talks
-arose this, became cause
-to write and go this far.

I heard of the dumb one:
- "Don't want it; Break Up! "
-Happily, talks, speaks, crazy!
-No order to the words he spits:
- "concern for security! " it can be
-mistrusting, insult to your neighbour.

How the hell does he want or expects
-Canada's, Mexico's, World's respect?
