Nest Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Nest

Nest

"Hey Robin…" I shouted
-went, flew, did not care

I tried every one of the birds
-all of them acted same

I found no other word
-except the "Stupid! "

None of them listened to
-"…I love and care for you…
-…that white thing, snow-like
-…that you take to make nest
-…is not what you have thought
-…is not fluffy of cotton…"

I cried with deep sigh:
"…it is of polymer…
-…plastic…"

Then I took deep breath
-"…it kills your chicks and eggs
-…no brood…"

Fooled as we are in this world
-they flew with their hunt
-poison more than gain…
-after a long-long haul!
