Never Afford Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Never Afford

For he first time she dropped
At my small apartment and hoped
Best welcome with smile
This was her known style

She was innocent with approach
She never thought as such
She presented everything ordinarily
And took me as friend happily

She knew well that I was little starved
Of funds yet behaved with constraints
Looked after her well with sincere desire
She was all for praises here

She may come now all of sudden
Drop in and manage even
To clean all articles
And remove the dust particles

"You take me casually"
She was convincing me orally
I shall opt and choose
But never afford to loose you
