Never Count Me Out Poem by Hebert Logerie

Never Count Me Out

Never count me out
Even on my knees
Even around the bees
Don't count me out
Even engulfed in tears
Have absolutely no fears
Be aware of the plot
Even in profound pain
Let it pour, let it rain
This ain't the last bout
I will come back again
Even in deep piercing pain
Until I win, until I gain
The tight fight, the right battle
Until I sit straight on the saddle
Never count me out
I will find the correct routes
Even after the last rites
Don't ever count me out
I will come back again
Even in extreme pain
I will block and tackle
Until I win the last battle
Don't count my people out
Until we win again and again
Never count our people out.

P.S. This poem is dedicated to Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King and the Civil Rights Movements.
The struggle continues. We're still trying to reach the mountaintop.
