Never Make An Angel Cry Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

Never Make An Angel Cry

Sometimes relationships get broken
When you let life pass you by
Now, there is time to think out feelings
Why you never make an Angel cry

There is a sweetness to be remembered
Every time you think of her
Not a moment without a memory
When her eyes shown all the hurt

It took forever to break her spirit
With the torments of your life
The power of a barroom friendship
And leaving her alone so many nights

You could fix her with a smile
Although the years were passing by
Too many times you left her broken
There were no more tears left, for her to cry

I've seen these stories end in barrooms
Way too many times
You can drink away the sorrow
While choking on some pride

There is time to reminisce within the darkness
Once you have a sober mind
In dreams you will search for her, forever
When you make an Angel Cry
