Never Walk Alone Poem by Ronald Strickland

Never Walk Alone

So many conversations with your pictures on the wall
tell me how much I miss you.

When a door opens,
I think it's you.
You are never gone.
You are the voice I hear and the touch I feel,
and I turn,
and you're not there.

You are the warmth I feel when my heart feels cold,
and it reaches into my soul.

You are the strength that carries me
through each day
without you.

With you in my heart,
I'm forever yours,
and I may stand without you by my side,
but I stand with you in my heart,
and with that, I'll never be alone.

I'll hold onto us,
and I'll never walk alone.
