New Dawn Poem by Felix Otiende

New Dawn

New Dawn

As I take my leave,
To a land of butter and sandwich,
I want to delete old memories,
Kick off old styles,

Yes! I was known as good for nothing,
All time drunkard,
Even the barman counts me out,
No self respect,

I have packed my bags,
Taking the bus to a land of tea and coffee,
I wanna have appetite,
To eat delicious meal,

To have a family and respect,
Be a mentor,
Grow old and die peaceful,
And maybe walk with the saint.
