New Friendships Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

New Friendships

As a Jewish Poet it says a lot
Of what I have and what I have not.
I trust in HIM to show me HIS way,
Not just now, but forever and a day.

Should our friendship be meant to be,
I know the way forward I shall see.
Then it will be for us to develop it more,
Day after day, with an encore.

Starting with chats, meetings and calls
Visits to places not seen before.
Talking and chatting when together we be
Whilst enjoying each other at Afternoon Tea.

So why wait, why linger, why ponder today?
‘Time waits for no one' they do say.
Reply to this missive ~ what have you to lose?
If to go forward ~ you can choose.

Please be polite and answer me, Dear,
A "yes" will put me in good cheer.
A "No" I'll accept if you be sincere,
For it is better than a silence to my ear.
