New Life, New Direction Poem by Paul Sebastian

New Life, New Direction

New Life, New Direction
By Paul Sebastian

Year of sorts closes a life chapter
Etching love, joy and pain
Recalling steps taken brings nostalgia
River of time flows, over mistakes and gains

Some steps made even and firm
Some strides unevenly taken
Positive approaches always affirmed
Lessons learnt, we move on unshaken

Wind of events blows, a calendar leaf falls
You let go the past to move on
A new year, like a new dawn, unfolds
With new dreams, renewed strength, press on

Time to make reparation
Time to make resolution
Time for new determination
Time to renew direction

As the year gracefully dances out
I thank all who make my live easier
For tears shed, lessons taught
Moments shared to made me happier

I thank you for your forgiveness
For allowing me to grow
In spite of me, your faithfulness
Gently helping me become more

We etched our lives with memories
Cherished moments we preciously keep
Like diamonds in our lives treasury
Planted seeds harvested, we reaped

Another year we welcome
Life's seasons we would play
Challenges we will overcome
Rewards, life will willingly pay

Wishing you a blessed year
May God of love abundantly shower
You love, and always keep you near
May He before you display His power

Happy New Year!
