New Space Race Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

New Space Race

A trip to the moon, a mission so grand,
Chang'e 5 returned, from lunar sand.
But this was just the start, a seed they did sow,
More research and tech, helping new wonders grow.

A new mineral found, a secret it kept,
'Changesite-(Y) , ' while the world slept.
It holds helium-3, a treasure so rare,
Fuel for clean power, beyond all compare.

This element bright, could power our earth,
No waste to worry, a brand new rebirth.
If China can use it, a future they'll hold,
While others catch up, a story untold.

And ice on the moon, in craters so deep,
Where shadows forever, their secrets do keep.
Water for people, to live and to stay,
A home on the moon, for a brighter new day.

This race to the moon, now heats up anew,
With nations all striving, in all that they do.
Discoveries spark, a challenge is set,
The moon's full of promise, we haven't seen yet.
