Nigeria's Daughter, Unbowed Poem by Dr Anthony Onoja

Nigeria's Daughter, Unbowed

A titan's shadow, long and deep,
A chamber's wrath, where whispers creep.
Natasha stands, a woman's might,
Against the dark, she brings the light.
No mortal fear, no tyrant's sway,
Her voice, a sun, that breaks the grey.

For Nigeria's heart, she dared to rise,
A fire sparked in knowing eyes.
Though halls of power sought to bind,
And silence truth, and leave us blind,
Her spirit soared, a noble flight,
A beacon burning in the night.
They sought to dim her vibrant flame,
To whisper shame, to tarnish name.
But in our hearts, a louder sound,
Her courage found, on hallowed ground.

So stand we tall, with heads held high,
Where justice sleeps, we make it cry.
For in her fight, our strength we see,
Natasha's truth, eternally free.
