Night And Day - Poem by Juan Israel Espanol

Sometimes -
I think in another life
the sun and the moon
were like two lovers
sharing a single bed of clouds in the sky
under a celestial blanket.

Until one never-ending day
when those words were spoken
that could not be taken back.

And every day since then
she marches along. Blazing
in searing anger across the day.

While he walks sulking alone -
with only the shock on his pale face
illuminating the darkness of his cold nights.
