Night Life Poem by Frederick Francis

Night Life

Rating: 5.0

The sky is my martini.
The moon the glass rim fruit.
The winds the grand Piano,
The birds a piccolo flute.
So take my hand this night
And we’ll float like waters mist.
People only blades of grass
Where night and life have kissed.

We’ll light the rising sun.
As we drift in a lonely crowed.
Us two soaked in dew of passion,
Masking the world in a shroud.
I will seize those menacing arms
That tick to conspire you away.
The moon owes me a favor,
So a little longer stay.
