The moon is so bright in the sky tonight
But I can't help but feel it's the same
I could stare up at you forever
Forever I could go insane
Cause I can't help but think
About all of the things
That alter, but never really change
And if this is the way
It was really meant to be
Then how come its me
Who's stuck in my ways.
And nothing will ever be the same.

Cause the moon is so bright in the sky tonight
Oh how I wish it would take me away
It looks so inviting
So bright under nights' wing
So why is it here that I stay?

Oh how I wish
How I wish that nothing would change
And where is the fun
In shooting off guns
That we don't have
Anyway?

Maybe it's here that I'll stay
And dream my life away.
