Night Walks Poem by Kenji McCollum

Night Walks

Rating: 5.0

The night sky is dark and covered with stars,
Making the sky look like a sequined covered gown,
The cold air huskily hitting my hands,
Making them feel like ice,
Yet smooth and felt nice to hold mine against his,
His hands where warm,
Like a toasty fire that's a little to warm,
The air gently caressing our faces,
our faces flushed with a light pink,
The sky looked gorgeous,
But sadly the moon stayed hidden,
The music played,
Our music,
Our song,
It felt to magical,
We talked about,
I don't even remember,
I was wearing a fuzzy winter jacket and so was he,
It felt so magical,
The air and our hands intertwining,
His eyes looked different in that moment as he looked at me,
The looked sereal,
He grabbed my waist,
pulling me in,
His kiss was cold and brisk,
different than all the other kisses we have had,
thats what made the kiss so special,
His lips where cold of fall,
a fall kiss,
and our song was playing
I had to be dreaming in some way,
Making this up in my consciousness,
I kissed him again but longer,
I loved it,
We kept walking,
away from that corner,
And into the warm embrace of my cozy apartment
