I don't know where my soul goes
When my bell rings
Is it tonight's nightmare tapping the old wood?
Or the sweet dream i dreamed last night?
If you know where to find my soul
Tell her i need her no more
Cause
I fall for a nightmare
And i better live without a soul
WOW! What a surprise! I FALL FOR A NIGHTMARE AND I LIVE BETTER WITHOUT A SOUL. That is either a Declaration of Independence or a dangerous surrender to something dark. It all hinges on the nature of the nightmare which visited you. Was it also the SWEET DREAM that captivated you? Those are mysteries to me, the whole poem is a wonderful mystery and it has pitch-perfect expression. I'm already haunted by this poem. I don't know if the dream/nightmare is a liberation or a trap? .
You know sometimes, someone or something captivates you and you still have no idea if it is good or bad if it liberates you or forsakes you. I have this feeling so many times in life

A nice poetic imagination, Baharak. Nightmare depends upon subconscious and unconscious. You may like to read my ars poetica named as (Poetic Sense-1) Thanks
