Nighttime's Pillow Poem by Bryan Taplits

Nighttime's Pillow

Those days were long-
but also short-
The nights so warm, now chill,
The love you served when I loved you-
I never got my fill.
But now it's late-
As I lay abed-
About to meet my doom
I ponder and I re-think-
like some sleepy computer link-
That I ended our link much too soon.
I wish for….
But now I am too tired as I settle here for my last sigh
Yes, I wish we had survived-
but I lived ten-thousand lives!
….... So, dear one, 'Thank you and Good-bye.'
