in grand palace United Nations
the voice of child experiences
does not speak has no place
experience traumatic sees
with insight understanding
sees solutions ego politicians
glorified academic desk jockeys
cannot personal experiences
comprehend with urgency
with battle scares trauma
with desire for desperate solutions
implemented now now now
where are blood victim child soldiers
forced to savage fight kill in adult wars?
where are voiceless child sex workers
forced into chronic poverty prostitution?
where are sold off purchased child brides
wed fate of young girls in some societies?
where are small hands sweat shop workers
working slaves dawn to dusk making clothes?
where are ants small body child miners; labourers
deep in earth dangerous mines; making mud bricks?
where are children picking out a rotting garbage living
seeking out sellable scraps from mountain rubbish pits?
they are all still there still there if surviving in despair
the United Nations has no victim child council experts?
would weak small voices surviving suffering misery
plea cases cry for justice freedom with more urgency?
it seems grand palace United Nations does not think so
urgent matters busy dividing carving up world resources?
