No Idea - Poem by Mohd Rashidi Mohd Zin

(Collaboration with my girlfriend, Maria Regina)

“Why is this? ” and “Why is that? ”
State of curiosity is where I’m always at,
The more I know, the more I want to know,
About things that I will never know.

I have no intention of killing the cat,
My mind arouse to every possible thing,
What it is, when was it made, what does it do,
And it won’t end after an answer or two.

Ask me not, why do I have this inside of me,
“No idea”, that’s the answer you’ll get from me,
A short ambiguous statement as the reply,
Which will lead to another thousands of “what” and “why”.

Tell me stranger, what will you do,
If I ask something from you,
Will you able to explain it to me so clear?
Or will you end it with “No Idea”?

What’s beyond infinity?
Is it too far, that i cannot see?
What’s with diamond, sapphire and ruby?
Is it like the stars that reflects in the sea? Does love still tickles my heart?
Or I’m just thinking of pain from the start?
Do I follow the trail of my past..
Or just face my future and hope for love to last?

Have i learned which bridges to burn?
And cross the ones, on the time of my own?
Does hatred and grudges rules my life?
But isn’t love worth all the strife?

Living in a box, maybe the safest way..
But life’s a gamble, why not play?
Do i know what love and life has to offer me?
No idea…
might as well love and live it the way i want it to be…
