No Imprisinment Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

No Imprisinment

Rating: 5.0

Emperor was playing violin
When Rome was burning
Such examples are not rare
Power makes them to dare

Democracy or autocracy
There is no shift in frequency
Power corrupts everybody
Absolute power corrupts absolutely

It suits them on religion basis
People are drawn for same ideologies
With passage of time the system cracks
People are frustrated and later on try to sack

It is not easy to overthrow cruel regime
Innocent people are shot at and grenades are thrown at them
They are kept in prison and tortured
The whole of system is on fire and future is darkened

See in any country, it does exist
Only its execution and form is different
People suffer from corruption
Leaders improve their own condition

Let there be no imprisonment
But only death penalty with consent
Let them go to gallows forcefully
The only poor may enjoy it happily
